Welcome to an exciting and exclusive adventure to Nepal to meet women and girls who are leading Days for Girls Enterprises, teaching health education in schools, and sewing DfG Kits. On this trip, you will join up to ten other Days for Girls supporters to learn how Days for Girls Nepal is changing lives and communities.
During your travels, you will meet with the Days for Girls Nepal team, travel with them to meet Enterprise leaders, and participate in a number of distributions in the field. We will also dedicate time to explore some of the sights and wonders of Nepal.
Through this program, you will be offered the opportunity of a lifetime. Our small group will be able to see how their direct donations contribute to keeping girls in school and provide dignity and opportunity for so many.
ITINERARY
Day 1: November 1, 2019
Arrival in Kathmandu: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to the Hyatt in Kathmandu. Meet the group and learn more about the journey ahead at the Welcome Dinner.

Day 2: November 2, 2019
Context Setting in Nepal: Today’s activities will provide a historical and cultural context for Days for Girls’s work in Nepal. Attend a cooking class with Seven Women, and learn about the lives of women and girls in Nepal over a meal. The group will also visit the Days for Girls office or enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city.

Day 3: November 3, 2019
School Visit & Distribution: Visit a partner school to witness a distribution of menstrual products, and meet the girls whose lives are changed by Days for Girls. Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city, which may include a visit to: UNESCO World Heritage Site Durbar Square; the ancient hilltop stupa of Swayambhunath; the artisans’ city of Patan; the Hindu temple Pashupatinath; the preserved medieval city-state Bhaktapur; or the Boudhnath stupas.

Day 4: November 4, 2019
School Visit in Hetauda: Leave Kathmandu in the morning to drive to Hetauda (4 hours). See a distribution at a local school in the afternoon, and learn about how life in Nepal differs outside of the capital city.

Day 5: November 5, 2019
Relax and Reflect in Dhulikhel and Farewell Dinner: Following breakfast at the hotel, journey to Dhulikhel, where you’ll witness breathtaking panoramas of the Himalayas and enjoy a relaxing afternoon and evening at Dwarika’s Resort. Celebrate the end of your journey and the connections made at the Farewell Dinner.

Day 6: November 6, 2019
Departure: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. You will be transferred to the airport based on the time of your departure flight. Resort facilities will be available for those with late departures.
