FUNDRAISING EXPECTATIONS AND PLATFORM:
All participants are expected to raise a minimum of $2,500 to support WaterAid’s work in Colombia. On this trip you’ll have an opportunity to see your impact firsthand, and the work in Colombia that you make possible.
Once registered, you’ll receive a note with instructions on how to set up a fundraising page on Bright Funds. The Bright Funds platform is 100% secure and all donations made through this platform are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable under the law. If your company uses a different corporate giving platform, get in touch with Phoebe from WaterAid for more information. If your company offers matching, you are encouraged to use this as part of your total.

IMPORTANT TIPS & TRICKS:
Fundraising can be challenging, but some things to keep in mind as you get started:
- The bulk of your fundraising will likely happen from personalized outreach to your networks: family, friends and colleagues. This is a great place to start—and you might even want to make the first gift to your page to get things started!
- Matched giving is a popular way to double your impact. Be sure to ask your donors if their company offers matched giving, and Phoebe can assist you with the application process if needed.
- You might collect gifts by check or cash—contact Phoebe about how to send these to WaterAid and have the gifts reflected on your online fundraising page
- As you fundraise with colleagues, you might consider getting multiple colleagues together to host an event in the workplace—think happy hours, bake sales, CrossFit challenges, etc. Engagement activities that also serve as team builders and morale boosters are most effective.
