Together Women Rise: Journey to Jordan
May 19th – 30th, 2022
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Elevate Destinations requires that all travelers have travel insurance that covers COVID-related expenses and that new travelers purchase ‘cancel for any reason’ (CFAR) coverage for any trip they wish to take with us. Please note that some insurance options require purchase within 24 hours of making payment for your trip. Elevate Destinations recommends that travelers evaluate the insurance options available for their needs and inquire with providers about “cancel for any reason” insurance.
Below are two insurance brokers that Elevate Destinations recommends.
- Yonder Insurance– You are welcome to purchase travel insurance through our partners at Yonder Travel Insurance. You can contact Yonder at hello@insureyonder.com or call at 855-358-6433 (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM CT).
- Travel Insurance Center – Dan Drennen is the representative who Elevate Destinations works with. To inquire with Dan about insurance policies he offers, you can reach him by email at dan@travelinsurancecenter.com or over the phone at 1-402-343-3621.
Guests may acquire travel insurance through Yonder, Travel Insurance Center, or any other travel company of their choosing. If you purchase insurance with either, please be sure to tell them you have booked your trip though Elevate Destinations. Elevate Destinations recommends that travelers evaluate the insurance options available for their needs and inquire with providers about insurance that will provide coverage if the trip needs to be cancelled.
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS:
International arrival and departure flights are booked by travelers independently. Kindly forward your international flight information to Dana (dana@elevatedestinations.com) once you have booked your flights.
You are welcome to book your flights through our partners at AirTreks. Once AirTreks receives your information, they will be in direct contact with you to find the best airline, layover options, and route for your trip. You can also contact AirTreks by email at flightdesk@airtreks.com. AirTreks provides 24/7 support in case you need help at any point along your journey. They will also share your final itinerary with us after you have confirmed your booking – saving you the extra step. Guests may book their flights through AirTreks or any other travel agent or method of their choosing.
Here are the recommended arrival/departure times:
- May 19th, 2022: Arrive at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) by 3:00 pm
- May 30th, 2022: Depart from Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) anytime
While the Together Women Rise Journey to Jordan begins on May 19th and ends on May 30th, we would be happy to help you extend your travels in the region. Please see the Extend Your Travel tab for more information.
PASSPORT:
Please make sure your passport is current and valid for at least 6 months beyond your trip departure date. Your passport should have at least 3 blank pages for the entry and exit stamps, or more if you are visiting several countries on this trip. Please note that the last two amendment pages are not acceptable for visas and immigration stamps.
VISA/TOURIST CARD:
U.S. citizens are typically given visas that are valid for 30 days. Foreigners who wish to stay longer than the time given to them by Jordanian immigration upon entry into Jordan must register at a Jordanian police station before expiration of that time.
Certain nationalities (non-US) require an entry visa to be obtained prior to arrival in Jordan. For a complete list, see the Jordan Tourism Board website.
Obtaining your visa prior to arrival:
Elevate Destinations will work with our partners in Jordan to procure your visa in advance of travel to Jordan. In order to do this, we will need to have a high resolution color scan of your passport. Please email this passport copy to Dana at dana@elevatedestinations.com.
STEP ENROLLMENT:
The US State Department strongly recommends that all visitors to Jordan register their travel via the STEP – State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program! This is a free service provided by the U.S. Government to U.S. citizens who are traveling to, or living in, a foreign country. STEP allows you to enter information about your upcoming trip abroad so that the Department of State can better assist you in case of an emergency. Enrolling in this program has enormous benefits in case of an emergency while abroad:
- You will receive information from the Embassy about safety conditions in Jordan
- Enrolling lets the U.S. Embassy in that country know that you are there and helps them contact you in an emergency, whether natural disaster, civil unrest, or family-related
