UBS is delighted you will be joining the 2019 Philanthropy Insights Trip to India. Below you will find important information that will be useful for registering for the delegation and planning your trip to India.

REGISTRATION:

To register for the trip, please complete our Registration Form at your earliest convenience. The registration & payment deadline is July 15, 2019. UBS will accept registrations after July 15th if space permits.  This allows us to easily record your vital travel information.

The cost for the trip is $4,250. Costs include shared accommodations, all meals, ground transportation, VIP airport service, domestic flight from Udaipur to Mumbai, guides and drivers, and gratuities. For single accommodations, there is a $735 single supplement. Once we receive your registration form, we will be in touch with you about payment to reserve your spot on the trip.

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS:

International flights are booked by travelers independently.  If you would like the contact information for a trusted independent travel agent, Elevate Destinations is happy to provide you with this information.  Kindly forward your international flight information to Megan (megan@elevatedestinations.com) once you have booked your flights.  We recommend arriving and departing on the following dates, but you are welcome to arrive earlier or depart later:

Main Program:

• Arrive Udaipur Airport (UDR)* no later than 4:00pm on September 23rd, 2019
• Leave Mumbai Airport (BOM) anytime on September 27th, 2019

*Travelers will need to transfer through either Mumbai or Delhi en route to Udaipur. We will provide VIP arrival service in whichever city you arrive first in order to assist at Immigration. Please share your flight details once booked so we can arrange this VIP service. 

**While the program begins on September 23rd, please let us know if you would like to arrive earlier and we’d be happy to assist with pre-trip arrangements. We are also able to arrange post-trip day rooms before your departure flight. Please visit the Extend Your Travel tab for more information.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Elevate Destinations strongly recommends that all travelers have travel insurance for any trip they wish to take with us. Please note that some insurance options require purchase within 24 hours of making payment for your trip. We encourage you to review your travel insurance options before making payment to Elevate Destinations.

Guests may acquire travel insurance through the Travel Insurance Center, or any other travel insurance company of their choosing. Elevate Destinations recommends that travelers evaluate the insurance options available for their needs, and inquire with providers about insurance that will provide coverage if the trip needs to be cancelled.

LUGGAGE RESTRICTIONS:

We advise you to pack lightly for this trip. Please keep in mind the luggage restrictions for the domestic flight on Air India:

• One checked bag at 25 kg (55 lbs.) per person
• One carry-on bag at 7 kg. (15 lbs.) per person

PASSPORT:

Please make sure your passport is current and valid for at least six months beyond your trip departure date. Your passport should have at least 2 blank pages for the entry and exit stamps, or more if you are visiting several countries on this trip. Please note that the last two amendment pages are not acceptable for visas and immigration stamps.

VISA/TOURIST CARD:

Citizens from many countries will require a tourist visa in order to enter India. We recommend applying for the tourist visa. Most travelers should qualify to apply for the e-Visa.

On the visa application form, you can list the Leela Palace Hotel in Udaipur as your “referral in India”. Please note the hotel’s address and phone number below.

Indian visa regulations change frequently, often with little advance notice, and changes may be poorly advertised and inconsistently enforced. Travelers are urged to check the website of the High Commission of India before any travel to India to review the most current information.

*Please let us know if you have traveled to India in the last 6 months to India, or plan to travel again in the following 6 months after your program. Your frequency of travel to India will affect the type of visa you will want to apply for.
