Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
6:00 am: This morning you’ll be collected early from your hotel and transferred in a private vehicle approximately 15 minutes to Entebbe Airport for the scheduled flight to Kisoro (07h45/08h55). This afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Batwa Community.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Located in southwestern Uganda, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is said to be Africa’s oldest rainforest and is world-renowned for its excellent gorilla sightings. The rugged landscape features dense jungle, cascading waterfalls, sparkling streams, deep valleys, and steep ridges. Due to its natural beauty and unique ecological significance, this untouched forest has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Aside from the fantastic gorilla encounters, there are other allures such as a network of forest walks, over 340 species of birds and a variety of butterflies.

Days 8-9: Saturday & Sunday, August 1-2
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
These two days will be spent taking part in full-day Gorilla tracking expeditions (depending on gorilla permit availability). Wake early for breakfast, then before 8:00 am, report to the ranger station for registration and a briefing. The guides will then take you into the bush, where you’ll make your way through the undergrowth to track the gorillas.
Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them ‘talk’ to one another, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male, the Silverback. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas.
Treks can take from 30 minutes to six hours. A reasonable degree of fitness is required, as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes.
Overnight: Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge
