You can enjoy one of the best authentic Okavango safaris at Little Sable, an intimate tented retreat in the Khwai Private Reserve. With eight tastefully furnished hideouts ideally situated within the 200,000-hectare game-rich reserve, you will soon feel like a part of nature.

Day 3 - 4
KHWAI PRIVATE RESERVE

Spend two full days taking in everything this amazing property has to offer. There is a refreshing pool and viewing deck, an outdoor Skybed platform to spend a night under the stars, as well as a beautifully designed bar, lounge, and dining area. The activities at Little Sable include mokoro (dugout canoe) and boat excursions, as well as morning, afternoon and evening game drives. Don’t forget your evening sundowner around the fire.

The Khwai region is famous for rare species such as wild dogs, serval cats, honey badgers, and pangolins. Many lechwe, hippos, and crocodiles can be observed in the wetlands and rivers, while big cats can sometimes be seen along treelines and even in Camp. These grasslands are home to giraffe and zebra, elephants and buffalo, as well as sable, roan, impala, and kudu. You may even spot the occasional jackal.

Day 5 - 7
NG12

Transfer by flight to your next Camp in the remote wilderness of the northern Okavango Delta.

Duke’s Camp is located on an island and hidden on the shores of a permanent lagoon. One of the best safari destinations in the world, this is a unique wetlands area that has remained unchanged for centuries.

Duke’s Camp exudes old-world elegance and modern comfort. Share your meals in the shade of giant ebony trees or in the communal dining tent, then retire to the library or the Persian tea tent for your evening wind down. Be sure to spend some time on your private viewing deck, as herds of elephant and red lechwe commonly visit the area.
Your days will be full of game drives in locations away from public access, on a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) safari, fishing in the Okavango Delta, or visiting the World Heritage Site Tsodilo Hills. Scenic helicopter flights and hot-air balloon adventures are also on offer.

Spend these three days as you wish. Go out for traditional game drives, quad bike or horseback rides, take bushman walks or sit and relax by the pool while elephants approach to quench their thirst.
