THE FUND FOR GLOBAL HUMAN RIGHTS: MOROCCO
September 14 – 22, 2024

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS:

The main program begins on September 14 in Rabat, and ends on September 22 in Marrakesh. Arrival and departure flights are booked by travelers independently. Here are our recommended arrival and departure times:

  • Saturday, September 14, 2024: Arrive into either Rabat-Salé Airport (RBA) or Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) anytime
    • Rabat-Sale Airport is a 25 minute transfer from your hotel
    • Casablanca Airport located a 1.5 hour transfer from the hotel. However, you may find more direct flight options to Casablanca Airport, which is an advantage.
  • Sunday, September 22, 2024: Depart from the Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK) anytime

While the program begins on September 14, please let us know if you would like to arrive earlier and we would be happy to assist with pre-trip arrangements. The check-in time at Villa Mandarine is 3:00 pm. We are also able to extend your room reservation (pending availability) in Marrakesh if you would like to stay after the main program.

Flight Booking Assistance: If you would like assistance booking your flights, please contact Abbey (abbey@elevatedestinations.com) to introduce you with a flight booking specialist.

INSURANCE:

Elevate Destinations will purchase emergency evacuation coverage for you. This policy covers emergency evacuations due to medical, political, or natural disasters from September 14 – 22, 2024. This policy also provides $5,000 of emergency medical coverage. More details about this coverage are noted in this brochure.

This coverage does not include trip cancelation or interruption benefits and also does not cover pre- or post-trip days of travel. We strongly suggest you purchase additional coverage to cover your non-refundable expenses in the event you need to cancel your trip or have additional expenses incurred on the trip.

Elevate strongly recommends purchasing additional travel and medical insurance and Cancel for Any Reason Coverage (CFAR). Cancel for Any Reason’ (CFAR) coverage to cover trip related expenses. Please note that some CFAR insurance options are time-sensitive.  Please be ready to purchase an insurance policy within 14 days of making your first trip payment.

Medical insurance that covers you in Morocco is highly recommended for this trip. If you would like to purchase additional medical insurance in the country of travel, below are two insurance brokers that Elevate Destinations recommends.

  1. USI Travel Insurance Services
    Email: info@travelinsure.com
    Phone Number: (800) 937-1387
  2. Travel Insurance Center (Dan Drennen)
    Email:  dan@travelinsurancecenter.com
    Phone Number: (402) 343-3621

Elevate Destinations is not equipped to answer specific questions on insurance. Please contact the insurance broker or company for specific information.

Please email Abbey (abbey@elevatedestinations.com) with a copy of your insurance policy that covers you in Morocco, including the policy number and your provider’s emergency phone number.

PASSPORT and VISA

For U.S. and U.K. passport holders, a visa is not required for stays of 90 days or fewer for Morocco. Please make sure your passport is current and valid for at least 6 months beyond your trip departure date (March 22, 2025). Your passport should have at least 2 blank pages for the entry and exit stamps, or more if you are visiting several countries on this trip. Please note that the last two amendment pages are not acceptable for visas and immigration stamps. When entering the country, make sure your passport is stamped. Some travelers have experienced difficulties leaving the country because their passport has no entry stamp.

Please upload a scanned copy of the first page (photo page) of your passport to this secure Dropbox Folder.

If your passport expires before then, you will need to renew your passport. We recommend using A1 Passport & Visa Services. To do so, please email them at info@a1passportvisa.com and let them know you are working with Elevate Destinations on your travel arrangements.
