BARBADOS
One of the most established islands in the Caribbean, Barbados offers a more contemporary take on a Caribbean vacation. With its white and gold sand coastline to the West, an agricultural interior, and wild, windy boulder-dotted coastline found on the eastern Atlantic side—experience a variety in topography during your stay.
Embark on a catamaran tour; visit the historical towns of the East Coast; sip rum at the Mount Gay Distillery—the birthplace of rum;
walk through the Botanical Gardens; snorkel the calm waters of the west.
Luxury trips starting from $6,000 per person with peak holiday season starting from $8,000 to 10,000 per person
GRENADA
Another one of the region’s well preserved islands, Grenada is an incredibly lush, mountainous area. It is home to 45 beautiful beaches and countless secluded coves to choose from during your stay. Active travelers will love hiking the island’s trails, weaving through spice plantations and delivering you to a mountainous, rainforest preserve. Stop in the capital of St. George which has one of the most picturesque harbors in the Caribbean. The small islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique make for a great day trip for sailing, diving and snorkeling excursions.
Snorkel and dive in the islands; hike the Seven Sisters Waterfall trail; explore the rainforest nature preserve; explore the underwater sculpture park; enjoy a chocolate tasting; and visit numerous beaches.
Luxury trips starting from $6,000 per person with peak holiday season starting from $8,000 to 10,000 per person
JAMAICA
Jamaica was perhaps the most famous and sexiest of the Caribbean islands when travel there first began. The birthplace of Rasta and Reggae, you’ll now find the same vibrancy there but with a cool sophisticated edge in the lodges we favor, all of which were created by music legend Chris Blackwell. For a special occasion, consider taking over Ian Fleming’s fabulous villa, where he wrote all of the James Bond 007 novels, upon which the films were based.
Snorkel, kayak and paddle board in calm coves; hike the Blue Mountains; slide down back-country waterfalls; experience sumptuous farm-to-table Caribbean dining, and volunteer with the Oracabessa Foundation.
Luxury trips starting from $4,500 per person with peak holiday season starting from $6,000 per person
MUSTIQUE
Famous for its one-of-a-kind private luxury retreats, which can be rented by guests to the island, Mustique still maintains a clubhouse “insider” feel.
Enjoy its intimacy and visit the beaches frequented by Mick Jagger and Princess Margaret.
Visit Basil’s Bar—frequented by international jetsetters and celebrities; stay in uniquely designed private villas; explore the island on horseback and swim in the sea with your horse; enjoy a custom picnic on the island’s secluded beaches.
Luxury trips starting from $6,000 per person with peak holiday season starting from $8,000 to 10,000 per person
NEVIS AND SAINT KITTS
With its pristine, natural beauty, St. Kitts makes for a highlight destination in the Caribbean. The astounding lava formations, lush tropical forests, and seaside lagoons are part of what make this island so special. It’s a great place for farm-to-table dining, pristine beaches, coral reefs, and tasteful barefoot luxury.
If visiting St. Kitts, add a trip to Nevis, just a short boat ride away. This tranquil destination is perfect for deep relaxation and enjoying a beautifully preserved landscape. With only 10,000 residents, Nevis has that small town feeling along with a sense of genuine hospitality.
Hike through rainforests; kayak along the coast; admire Nevis Peak at over 3,000 feet; dine in a 300-year-old sugar mill; hike around the dormant Liamuiga Volcano; visit the UNESCO site of Brimstone Hill Fortress; and check out the St. Kitts Railway.
Luxury trips starting from $6,000 per person with peak holiday season starting from $8,000 to 10,000 per person
SAINT LUCIA
A verdant, mountainous island, St. Lucia has evolved into one of the Caribbean’s most popular destinations. The island is home to a variety of terrain—from cities to dense rainforest, jungle-covered mountains and vast banana plantations. On the southwest coast, Petit Piton and Gros Piton, the island’s twin peaks, rise out of the sea more than 2,600 feet, making for a striking backdrop. During your stay, we recommend setting aside time to visit small villages and markets that will give you a more intimate look into island life.
Enjoy whale and dolphin watching; sail to the Pitons; take a helicopter tour; hike Piton peak; see nesting sea turtles; eat a Friday fish fry with the locals; learn about Kweyol culture, visit waterfalls and rainforests; and make your own chocolate.
Luxury trips starting from $6,000 per person with peak holiday season starting from $8,000 to 10,000 per person
TURKS AND CAICOS
Pine Cay is a private 800-acre island just a short boat ride away from the main island of Providenciales. Boasting one of the world’s most beautiful 2-mile long beaches, the island restricts visitors to a handful of guests at their main lodge, housed in beautiful simple cottages right on the beach. Private homes are also available for rent on the island. For a stay that is beyond peaceful and water that is the clearest you will ever experience, consider a visit to this pristine sanctuary. Pine Cay is run with sustainability principles top of mind. This is barefoot eco-luxury at its best.
Kayak on salt cays; snorkel right off the beach; spot a dolphin or two; visit a “natural” aquarium; cycle around the island (no cars allowed); enjoy fine dining under the stars; and do nothing!
Luxury trips starting from $6,000 per person with peak holiday season starting from $8,000 to 10,000 per person
