Action in Africa’s 10th Anniversary Trip

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS
The main program begins on Sunday, January 26 and ends on Saturday, February 1 in Kampala, Uganda. Arrival and departure flights are booked by travelers independently. Here are our recommended arrival and departure times:
- Sunday, January 26, 2025: Arrive at Entebbe International Airport (EBB) by the late afternoon. The trip will kick off with a Welcome Dinner this evening, likely around 6:30pm.
- Saturday, February 1, 2025: Depart from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) anytime.
Flight Booking Assistance: If you would like assistance booking your flights, please complete this form and a flight booking specialist from our partners at AirSupply will contact you directly to assist with your booking. Under the line “Traveler / Group Name,” write “Your Name / Elevate Destinations – Fiona Mokry.” Note that there is a $35 service fee per booking.

INSURANCE
Elevate Destinations will purchase emergency evacuation coverage for you. This policy covers emergency evacuations due to medical, political, or natural disasters from January 26 – February 1, 2025. This policy also provides $5,000 of emergency medical coverage. More details about this coverage are noted in this brochure.
This coverage does not include trip cancelation or interruption benefits and also does not cover pre- or post-trip days of travel booked outside of Elevate Destinations. We strongly suggest you purchase additional coverage to cover your non-refundable expenses in the event you need to cancel your trip or have additional expenses incurred on the trip.
Elevate strongly recommends purchasing additional travel and medical insurance and Cancel for Any Reason Coverage (CFAR) to cover trip related expenses. Please note that some CFAR insurance options are time-sensitive. Please be ready to purchase an insurance policy within 14 days of making your first trip payment.

Elevate Destinations is not equipped to answer specific questions on insurance. Please contact the insurance broker or company for specific information.
Please email Fiona (fiona@elevatedestinations.com) with a copy of your insurance policy that covers you in Uganda, including the policy number and your provider’s emergency phone number.
PASSPORT
1. Check that your passport:
- Is current and valid for at least 6 months beyond your trip departure date (August 1, 2025).
- Has at least 2 blank pages for the entry and exit stamps, or more if you are visiting several countries on this trip. The last two amendment pages are unacceptable for visas and immigration stamps.
2. Upload your passport: Please upload a scanned copy of your passport to this secure Dropbox folder.
3. Passport renewal: If your passport expires before then, you will need to renew your passport. We recommend using A1 Passport & Visa Services. To do so, please email them at info@a1passportvisa.com and let them know you are working with Elevate Destinations on your travel arrangements.
Note that U.S. passport holders are required to obtain a visa to enter Uganda. See instructions on obtaining your visa below.
VISA
Citizens from the United States are required to obtain a visa to travel to Uganda. Click here to apply for the visa. The Uganda Tourist Visa allows you to enter Uganda once and remain in the country for up to 90 days. An East African Tourist Visa allows you to enter Uganda, Rwanda, and/or Kenya and remain in any country for up to 90 days.
Note that if you are applying for the East African Tourist Visa, it is important that you apply through the country that you are arriving to first. For example, if your first port of entry is Rwanda, you may apply for the East African Tourist Visa upon arrival in Rwanda. If your first port of entry is Kenya, you must apply in advance here.
Neither visa is available upon arrival, and we recommend applying for your visa as soon as you have booked your flights to Uganda and no later than one month prior to your departure (December 26, 2024).
To apply for a Uganda Tourist Visa or an East African Tourist Visa

- Copy of your passport
- A recent passport size photo
- Round-trip international flight itinerary
- Hotel booking or reservation (address below)
- Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
- USD $50 (Uganda Visa) + USD $1.50 processing fee; $100 (East African Visa) for the application fee
- Please submit payment with a Visa or Mastercard. American Express is not accepted for your visa payment.

After submitting, you will receive an email to say your application and payment have been received. Later, you will receive a separate email to say your application has been approved, with an attached PDF e-visa. You must print this PDF and present it upon entry to Uganda.
The information provided on the application is screened by the Ugandan authorities after the form has been submitted and must be accurate and complete to avoid visa processing delays.
