A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDER
To our Elevate family,
I would like to start this letter with gratitude. We are fortunate to have some of the best travelers in the world! You demonstrate your care for others — you sought out Elevate Destinations because you are philanthropic, generous, and are passionate and curious about the world and all its inhabitants. You wanted a travel experience that reflected your values so you could take them with you while exploring the world, and we’re so grateful to you for this.
Elevate Destinations has always used travel as a way of expressing our shared values and supporting our global community. However, at this time, we have to do what feels very unnatural to us and many of you, which is stop traveling, hunker down, and do what we can to support one another while getting through these critical days ahead.
While we may have to hit pause for now, we ask you to keep dreaming of exploring the world! If you’re home with kids and need something to do, ask them to draw a picture of their dream vacation, take a photo of it and tag us #elevatedestinations. Make sure you let us know where they want to go! The Elevate team and our international colleagues could also use some inspiration right now. We will make sure our ground teams around the world can see these works-of-art too, so they can be reminded that people still want to explore the world. It is important to spread the love, joy, and solidarity that will take us through these unusual times. Hopefully, before long, our days of social-distancing will become hugs and high fives again.
In the meantime, we are working on our postponement strategies and collaborating with our industry colleagues to ensure the safest and most rewarding travel will be possible in the coming months of 2020 and 2021.
Everyone’s support will be needed around the globe as we all get back on our feet. Travel will eventually become part of the solution to rebuilding each other’s livelihoods around the world and responsible travel will be critical to making sure those most impacted can sustain themselves with dignity. We ask you to remember these values and participate with us in this process.
We look forward to communicating with you during this challenging time and appreciate your trust in us. We will work with you to find the best solution for your travel plans.
