The End Fund Team On-site: Kenya

June 9 – 14, 2024

Karibuni Kenya! Welcome to the End Fund’s team on-site in Kenya. Your six-day trip will based at the Swahili Beach Resort in Diani.

Along with time for meetings and team building, enjoy a range of activities at the resort, on the beach, and in the town of Diani. In your leisure time, you can choose to be as active or relaxed as you’d like.

Itinerary

Day 1: Sunday, Julne 9
Nairobi – International Arrivals

Welcome to Kenya! Arrive to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) at anytime today. You will be met at the airport and then transferred to your hotel where you can rest and enjoy the hotel’s amenities. Check in at the hotel starts at 14:00.

Come together with those who have arrived for a group dinner tonight.

Overnight: Ole Sereni Hotel (Nairobi)

Day 2: Monday, June 10
Travel to Diani Beach

Eat breakfast at the hotel and check out of your room. You will be split up into two groups and depart the hotel with your group for Wilson airport for your domestic flight to Diani. The two flight times are:

  • Fly ALS: Departing Wilson at 14:30 and arriving in Ukunda at 15:40
  • Safarilink: Departing Wilson at 15:45 and arriving in Ukunda at 17:00

Upon your arrival, transfer to the hotel and check in. There will be an optional sightseeing activity in the afternoon for those wanting to explore Diani. In the evening, there will be a welcome reception and dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Tuesday, June 11
All-staff meeting and afternoon at leisure

This morning after breakfast, there will be an all-staff meeting and activity led by Ellen. There will be time for discussion, and then conclude to have lunch.

In the afternoon, there will be an array of activities offered in which you can choose to participate. Have some time this evening for a break before dinner outside the hotel.

Day 4: Wednesday, June 12
Team meetings, programming, and activities

Enjoy the buffet breakfast served at the hotel. Today will be another combination of team meetings, programming, cultural activities, connecting, and learning.

Have some rest time this evening, and then enjoy a group dinner.

Day 5: Thursday, June 13
Team meetings and sightseeing

Today is the final day of your team on-site. After breakfast, regroup for this morning’s team meetings & programming. Afterwards, eat one final lunch all together.

There will be private airport transfers arranged for anyone who is departing today.

An optional sightseeing activity and dinner will be arranged for those who would like to join.

Day 6: Friday, July 28
Travel to Nairobi and International Departures

Have breakfast as a group, and then check out of your rooms. Again, you will be split up into two groups and transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Nairobi. The two flight times are below:

  • Fly ALS: Departing Ukunda at 10:00 and arriving in Wilson at 11:40
  • Safarilink: Departing Ukunda at 11:25 and arriving in Wilson at 12:35

Upon your arrival to Wilson Airport, you will either be transferred directly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) for your connecting flight home or to the Ole Sereni Hotel in which a day room has been reserved for you to freshen up before your flight home. If you go to Ole Sereni Hotel, an airport transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) will be provided.

Please keep in mind that any travel beyond June 9-14 is at the individual’s own expense. The END Fund will not be covering any travel outside of the team on-site programming.
