Cancellations and postponements related to COVID-19 for institutional clients
Where postponement is an option, our team will work to rebook your trip for new dates. Postponements made by the client will incur a $2000 fee which will be deducted from the client’s deposit. Dates that are in a different travel season or extend beyond 12 months of the original dates may incur additional costs and original deposits may not be transferable. Please note that postponement requirements may vary between destinations and the supplying tour operators where we operate, and we cannot guarantee an exact replication of your original itinerary or monetary transfer of original deposits. Elevate Destinations will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide the best available options for postponements and credited travel services. Please note that where postponement is not viable, Elevate Destinations will provide a travel credit for services, subject to any non-refundable deductions.
Individual Traveler Refund Policy on Institutional Trips
Travelers must solicit their travel insurance for a refund before requesting a refund from Elevate Destination.
Elevate will refund travelers only when a full payment has been rendered for someone to replace the spot of a traveler requesting a refund.
Where no new individuals are able to replace an original traveler, no refunds will be made in respect to accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transport or any other services which are included in the trip itinerary.
Elevate will offer a travel credit equal to the value paid by the traveler to Elevate Destination minus any non-refundable deposits previously rendered for the institutional trip. This travel credit is valid 24 months from the date of travel and travel must take place within 24 months of the originally scheduled travel dates. It may be applied to a future intuitional trip or a private travel vacation operated by Elevate Destination.
In the event that the intuitional client would like to monetarily reimburse their registered travelers Elevate Destination will issue the travel credit minus any non-refundable deposits to the intuition for a future trip 12 months from the date of postponed travel.
Newly registered travelers
Newly registered travelers must purchase a Cancel For Any Reason Insurance (CFAR) policy that will cover unforeseen cancelations by Elevate Destination or the nonprofit organization. CFAR coverage must be purchased between 1-14 or 1-21 days of the first payment made on your trip. Please note that CFAR is currently unavailable to NY residents.
