INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS
The main program begins on Saturday, August 10 and ends on Saturday, August 17 in Yogyakarta. Arrival and departure flights are booked by travelers independently. Here are our recommended arrival and departure times:
- Saturday, August 10: Arrive at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) by the afternoon. Check-in at your hotel starts at 2:00pm. The trip will kick off with a Welcome Dinner at the hotel this evening, likely around 6:00 pm.
- Saturday, August 17: Depart from Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) anytime. Check-out at your hotel ends at 12:00pm.
Flight Booking Assistance: Please work internally with your team at Nomi Network to book your flights. Once booked, send your flight confirmations to Yumi (yumi@elevatedestinations.com) so that she can arrange your airport transfers accordingly. Deadline: July 1.
PRE- AND POST-TRIP ROOMS
Would you like to arrive in Indonesia a day early or stay a day late? We are happy to set up a pre- or post-trip room if you want to stay and explore. Please contact Yumi at yumi@elevatedestinations.com for rates and information. Note that this any extra nights of accommodation will be at your own expense.
INSURANCE
Elevate Destinations will purchase emergency evacuation coverage for you. This policy covers emergency evacuations due to medical, political, or natural disasters from August 10-17, 2024. This policy also provides $5,000 of emergency medical coverage. More details about this coverage are noted in this brochure.
Any additional medical insurance requirements for this staff retreat is at the discretion of, and will be communicated to you by, Nomi Network.
If you already have an insurance policy that covers you in Indonesia, please email Yumi (yumi@elevatedestinations.com) with a copy of the policy, including the policy number and your provider’s emergency phone number.
PASSPORT
1. Check that your passport:
- Is current and valid for at least 6 months beyond your trip’s end date (February 17, 2025).
- Has at least 2 blank pages for the entry and exit stamps, or more if you are visiting several countries on this trip. The last two amendment pages are unacceptable for visas and immigration stamps.
2. Upload your passport: Please upload a scanned copy of your passport to this secure Dropbox folder.
3. Passport renewal: If your passport expires before then, you will need to renew your passport. We recommend using A1 Passport & Visa Services. To do so, please email them at info@a1passportvisa.com and let them know you are working with Elevate Destinations on your travel arrangements.
Note that U.S., India, and Australia passport holders are required to obtain a visa to enter Indonesia. Cambodia passport holders are not required to obtain a visa to enter Indonesia for a period of 30 days or less. See instructions on obtaining your visa below.
VISA
Cambodia Passport Holders
Cambodia passport holders are not required to obtain a visa to enter Indonesia for a period of 30 days or less.
U.S. India, & Australia Passport Holders
U.S., India and Australia passport holders are required to obtain a visa to enter Indonesia. To save time upon entry to Indonesia, we strongly encourage you to apply for your visa ahead of time, called an electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA). A visa is valid for up to 30 days and costs 500,000 Indonesian Rupiah (about $35).
Regardless of if you enter Indonesia at Jakarta or Yogyakarta, please start your e-VOA process online. You should apply for a B1 Tourist Visa.

To apply, you will need:
- A clear photo of your passport in landscape orientation
- A color headshot photo no larger than 2Mb and in a file format of one of the following: .JPEG/ .JPG/ .PNG
- Return or onward flight ticket
Application Instructions:
- Click “Apply”
- Select the country of your passport
- Select “General, Family or Social” for the main purpose of your visit to Indonesia
- Select “Tourism, Family Visit, and Transit” for the sub purpose of your visit to Indonesia
- Select “B1 – Tourism (Visa on Arrival)” for your visa selection
- Click “apply”
- Upload your passport and headshot photo.
- Enter your credit card and demographic information.
- For the “Address in Indonesia,” please use the following information:

- Submit
- After submitting, click the blue “payment” button under “action” to pay by debit or credit card.
Confirmation
- Please save your approved visa confirmation on your phone and also as a printed page to present to customs and immigration when you arrive to Indonesia.
