Day 1
Arrival to Entebbe
If you are flying into Entebbe, a representative will greet you at your gate to guide you through customs and immigration (if applicable) and assist with your luggage. You’ll be connected with your private driver and driven to your hotel to check in and rest after your travels.
This evening, take a few moments to stop by the concierge and let them know of tomorrow’s early morning departure so that breakfast can be arranged in accordance with your departure. You can schedule this to be a to-go style breakfast if you’d prefer, just note that no liquids can be taken with you.
Nestled in the leafy suburbs of Entebbe is the new and stylish boutique hotel, Hotel No.5. From the moment you arrive, you are warmly welcomed and cared for. With luxurious rooms opening onto the garden and swimming pool, this is an excellent option for guests looking for an intimate stay in a tranquil setting.

Day 2
Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Have an early breakfast before meeting your driver to depart to Kasese Airstrip for your scheduled flight.
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a representative from the Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge who will assist with your transfer to your accommodation (~2-hour drive). Soak in the exceptional views as you drive through the southern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
After checking in, enjoy lunch on-site before visiting the Batwa Community later this afternoon. The Batwa were the first inhabitants of the forest, and during this experience, you’ll learn about their history and traditions that have been cultivated over thousands of years.
Later, return to your lodge to relax and have dinner.
At over 6,560 feet above sea level, Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is Uganda’s highest lodge. Guests at Clouds stay in private cottages constructed from local volcanic stone. Every cabin has a generous sitting room with a fireplace, large armchairs, and hand-woven carpets.

Day 3
Gorilla Tracking in the Nkuringo Area
After an early breakfast, you’ll set off to the Nkuringo area to begin gorilla tracking while following closely behind your professional guides. The Nkuringo gorilla family was named after the rolling hills where they were first sighted, and the area is one of four gorilla trekking sectors in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Sit in the forest among the gorillas, listen to them “talk” to one another, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male — the silverback. It is extraordinary to sit in the dense rainforest, knowing you are with some of the few remaining mountain gorillas in the world! It is good to be prepared for varied terrain as the landscape of this area has a variety of deep and thick brush.
Everyone must wear a mask during tracking. Please be sure that you pack one to bring with you during this experience.
Following a full-day trek, return to your lodge to rest up and share stories of an exceptional day over dinner.

Day 4
Gorilla Habituation Experience
Today, you’ll have the beautiful opportunity to follow along with the team that is currently working with a gorilla community that is undergoing habituation. This gorilla experience takes place among a rugged landscape of dense jungle, cascading waterfalls, sparkling mountain streams, deep valleys, and steep ridges.
Wake up early for a hearty breakfast to give you the energy for the exciting day ahead. This trek can take anywhere from 30 minutes to six hours, and a reasonable degree of fitness and a sturdy pair of walking shoes are required. Gloves to protect your hands and long pants are also essential.
Because the group under habituation is always monitored, the habituation team will know where the gorillas are at all times. Due to that ability, this experience will be no more strenuous than the normal tracking activity, and you’re able to stop to rest at any time.
Porters can help with carrying luggage, snacks, cameras, and any other heavy gear you wish to bring along, allowing you to focus on the trail without having to worry about your things. Additionally, they can provide physical support to maintain balance and prevent fatigue during your trek.
After this incredible and intimate experience among the gorillas, return to your accommodation for a relaxing evening and share the day’s stories.

Day 5
Onward Travels
After breakfast, you’ll be collected by a lodge representative for your transfer to the Kisoro Airstrip to connect with your flight to Entebbe.
