Day 1: Arrival Day
Giraffe Manor
Begin your adventure at the enchanting Giraffe Manor, located in the leafy suburb of Karen in Nairobi. Giraffe Manor is set in 12 acres of private land within 140 acres of indigenous forest and is only 20 kilometers from Nairobi city center. Built in the 1930s, this luxury boutique hotel has maintained all the charm of the era and is now famous for its resident herd of Rothschild Giraffe.
Giraffe Manor offers you an unparalleled experience of the giraffes, with them vying for your attention at the breakfast table, the front door and even your bedroom window. Giraffe Manor is also home to many characters including warthogs, bushbuck, dik dik, and more than 180 species of birds and has a striking view of the Ngong Hills.
Day 2: Elephant Orphanage

Enjoy an outing to the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, where baby elephants of all ages delight guests as they feed and play. Afterwards, have lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden where the illustrious author lived and wrote. You will have the opportunity to adopt a baby elephant at the center and will be sent email updates about its progress.
Days 3-4
Campi Ya Kanzi
Fly by charter aircraft to Campi Ya Kanzi in the Chyulu Hills. Situated at the foot of the legendary Chyulu Hills, Hemingway’s Green Hills of Africa, within view of the mighty Kilimanjaro, Campi Ya Kanzi is a luxury camp offering a first class wilderness adventure, amazing wildlife, and authentic immersion in Maasai culture. The lodge has been built in partnership with the Maasai community of the 280,000-acre Kuku Group Ranch. Campi ya Kanzi has a unique commitment to community development and environmental sustainability, engaging the local Maasai in benefiting from wilderness with thriving wildlife.
Activities on tap include game drives, walking safaris, birding, visits to the Maasai community, star gazing, scenic flights of Kilimanjaro, horseback riding, fly camping, and visits to neighboring Amboseli and East Tsavo National Parks.
You will enjoy two nights here before flying to meet orphan elephants in the wild at Ithumba.
Day 5: Tsavo East National Park
Ithumba Camp
Flight to Ithumba, hidden in the remote Northern area of Tsavo East National Park. Here you will have the opportunity to interact with elephant orphans in the wild, feeding them and playing with them, alongside their keepers.
Visiting this incredible project means adopting one of the orphaned baby elephants on site. You will feed your elephant a bottle of milk and then walk him or her out of the barracks with the other orphans. At this point often adult elephants who were rescued here themselves will join you in the group – quite an amazing experience. It’s still quite early in the day, so at this point drive back to camp for breakfast and a rest. At 10:00, join the elephants in their “mud bath” and give your elephant another bottle while watching them play in the water.
Overnight at Ithumba Camp, a comfortable camp featuring four en-suite canvas tents under thatch roofs, with rustic rock bathrooms, flush toilets, and hot water showers you can enjoy under the stars.
Day 6: Debrief
Campi Ya Kanzi
Return to Campi Ya Kanzi for a final night to debrief and revel in the elephant experience you have just had!
Days 7-9: Maasai Mara Reserve
Rekero Camp
Spend your last days on safari at Rekero Camp in the Maasai Mara Reserve. Rekero is a luxury tented camp that sits in the midst of Kenya’s Masai Mara ecosystem in a quiet and exclusive location that is also conveniently close to the main Mara airstrip.
Rekero Camp is located very close to the confluence of the Mara and Talek Rivers and sits on a picturesque river bend in one of the most game-rich areas of the Maasai Mara Reserve.
This eco-camp is ideally situated for the annual migration, which is the movement of over one million wildebeest and two hundred thousand zebra from the Serengeti through the Mara in Kenya.
Day 10: Departure
Flight to Nairobi for your international departure and the conclusion of your wonderful safari adventure!
