Day 1
WELCOME TO ICELAND
A warm welcome to Iceland! Upon arrival at Keflavik International Airport, your private driver will pick you up and take you to the Blue Lagoon – a famous geothermal spa just 15 minutes from the airport. The Blue Lagoon has a mystical appearance, but its unique restorative powers are quite real. It’s just right for regaining your energy after a long flight. Your driver will wait until you are ready to leave. Usually one hour in the Lagoon is enough for most. If you’d like extra spa services, pre-booking is necessary.
Refreshed, head to Reykjavik and have lunch close by until the apartment is ready (check-in at 2pm).
This afternoon, you’re free to enjoy a day in Reykjavik. Visit the newly opened Whales of Iceland museum, or perhaps spend the day relaxing at Nautholsvik Geothermal Beach. For those traveling with younger kids, Husdyragardurinn City Park and petting zoo is a fun place to visit. There you can interact with sheep, horses, cattle, pigs, and goats, and witness the feeding of the seals a couple of times a day.

Day 2
GOLDEN CIRCLE
The Golden Circle of natural wonders begins with a visit to the dramatic volcanic scenery of Thingvellir National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). In a massive rift valley, you see firsthand how Iceland is being pulled apart at the meeting of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.
Your Golden Circle journey continues to the Gullfoss and Geysir area, where you are introduced to the Queen of Icelandic waterfalls herself: Gullfoss. This majestic waterfall of sparkling mist is situated on Hvita (White River). King of all geysers, the great Geysir, resides nearby in a steamy geothermal field of bubbling mud and hot springs including the highly active Strokkur Geyser, which shoots steaming hot water high into the air every ten minutes.
Then, your family can choose one of three high-energy adventure activities:
Option 1: River rafting. (Minimum Age: 11 years.)
Rafting down the Hvítá River is a magnificent way to enjoy Icelandic nature in a different way. Cruise down the great glacier river running all the way from Langjökull Glacier, Iceland’s second biggest glacier, through the deep canyon walls that the roaring river has carved over the years. After rafting, you can relax in the sauna at Drumbó and enjoy a meal of grilled lamb or a drink at the bar. Duration: approximately 3- 4 hours.
Option 2: Horseback riding. (Minimum Age: 7 years.)
The Icelandic horse is unique to the country of Iceland, bred since settlement in isolation from the outside world. Enjoy the horse’s smooth riding qualities, namely the tolt gait. Ride through meadows and lava fields, passing several farms, which will give you an idea of how the country’s agriculture has developed.
Option 3: Snorkeling. (Minimum Age: 14 years.)
Silfra is an underwater fissure located in the heart of Thingvellir National Park. Join a snorkeling tour to discover this otherworldly scenery in crystalline waters. The clarity of its waters (visibility in Silfra exceeds 100 meters / 320 feet) brings it fame worldwide for snorkeling and diving. The water temperature is 2-4° Celsius all year around. This tour is rated as easy, and no previous experience is required to take part in this tour.

Day 3
WATERFALLS AND GLACIER WALKING
Visit the waterfalls of the south shore, where you can walk behind Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and climb the stairs for a majestic view of Skogafoss Waterfall.
Your next stop is Reynisfjara – a black sand beach with a friendly puffin colony. You’ll see also Reynisdrangar – pillars of rock rising majestically out of the ocean. A recommended stop is the famous Seljavallalaug natural pool – one of Iceland’s oldest swimming pools.
Then, get ready for today’s excursion – a glacier walk! (Minimum age: 10 years.) The Sólheimajökull Glacier tongue extends from the great Mýrdalsjökull Glacier. On this fun, safe, and easy glacier walk, you’ll get to explore the wonderland of ice sculptures, water cauldrons, ridges, and deep crevasses. No technical requirements are needed for the tour, and an experienced glacier guide will teach you how to use basic glacier equipment, such as crampons and an ice axe. Driving time: From Reykjavík: 2 and 1/2 hours.

Day 4
4WD OFFROAD BUGGY TRIP
Get away from the tourist trail for some exploration of natural sights as you ride an ATV buggy through the Reykjanes Peninsula. During this family-friendly ride, you'll follow lava trails through the volcanic, moon-like landscapes. Along the way, make stops at a lava beach and viewpoints that will allow you to gaze out at Iceland's wild coastline. (Minimum age: 6 years)
Located in the southwest of the country, the Reykjanes Peninsula is a volcanic region known for its lava fields, geothermal activity, and rugged coastline. Here, you can journey through Iceland’s dramatic landscapes, with steaming vents, moss-covered lava, and ocean views. The peninsula is home to plenty of quieter natural areas that feel far removed from the city.
