COVID PROTOCOLS & REGULATIONS

Elevate Destinations continues to monitor the global pandemic both domestically and in Morocco. We will update this page 90 days prior to departure and continue to update this portal every 30 days with any changes in local or international travel regulations.

During the trip, travelers will be asked to abide by the following Covid guidelines:

  • Wear a face mask in enclosed areas such as vehicles and during site visits with GFW’s grantees, and as required in public spaces in Morocco
  • Self monitor and inform your guide if you experience any Covid-related symptoms
    • Your guide will arrange a Covid PCR test if you are experiencing Covid- related symptoms
    • Abide by government quarantine requirements if you test positive for Covid
    • Any Covid-related expenses are at the traveler’s expense
  • Covid Testing: All travelers and staff will be asked to take the following Covid tests as a safety precaution for everyone engaging in this trip.
    • Pre-Trip: Take either an at-home Covid test OR a PCR test before you depart for Morocco
      Note: If you would like a test provided, please email Renee at rsaedi@globalfundforwomen.org
    • Upon Arrival: Please take an at-home Covid test upon your arrival before the welcome dinner.
    • In-Country: Take an at-home Covid test, provided by GFW, before departing for Ouarzazate
MOROCCO ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

For entry into Morocco, travelers must have the following:

  • Passenger’s Health Form: Fill out the Passenger’s health form. Download here before boarding. This will also be distributed on board.
  • Although not required by the government of Morocco, please travel with a valid COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate just in case.
    Note: You can obtain a digital copy of your Covid Vaccine Card through the Clear App on your mobile phone.
COVID VACCINATION:

To participate on this trip, you must be fully vaccinated against Covid and up to date with any additional doses of the vaccine you may be eligible for. In many cases, this means you must be boosted before travel. Travelers are not eligible for a refund for failure to get vaccinated or boosted prior to departure. TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Elevate Destinations requires that all travelers purchase Cancel for Any Reason insurance that covers them for Covid-related medical expenses including costs related to quarantining while traveling. Please note that all Cancel for Any Reason insurance policies are time sensitive and require purchase within 1 to 21 days of making a payment for your trip.
