THE FUND FOR GLOBAL HUMAN RIGHTS: MOROCCO
February 3 – 11, 2024
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS:
The main program begins on February 3 in Rabat, and ends on February 11 in Marrakech. Arrival and departure flights are booked by travelers independently. Here are our recommended arrival and departure times:
- Saturday, February 3, 2024: The main program begins on February 3 in Rabat. Fly into the Rabat-Salé Airport (RBA) or Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) anytime. International flights can be found arriving into either airport, with Rabat-Sale Airport located a 25 minute transfer and Casablanca Airport located a 1.5 hour transfer from the hotel. However, you may find more direct flight options to Casablanca Airport, which is an advantage.
- Sunday, February 11, 2024: Depart from the Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK) anytime
While the program begins on February 3, please let us know if you would like to arrive earlier and we would be happy to assist with pre-trip arrangements. The check-in time at Villa Mandarine is 3:00 pm. We are also able to extend your room reservation (pending availability) in Marrakech if you would like to stay after the main program.
Flight Booking Assistance: If you would like assistance booking your flights, please contact Yumi (yumi@elevatedestinations.com) to introduce you with a flight booking specialist.
MEDICAL INSURANCE:
Elevate Destinations requires that all travelers purchase medical insurance that covers them for $50,000 of medical expenses while in Morocco, including Covid-related expenses. If you have medical insurance that will cover you in Morocco, please email Yumi (yumi@elevatedestinations.com) with a copy of your insurance policy including your insurance provider’s emergency phone number.
Elevate Destinations highly recommends travelers purchase Cancel for Any Reason level of coverage insurance. Please note that all Cancel for Any Reason insurance policies are time sensitive and require purchase within 1 to 21 days of making a payment for your trip. Elevate Destinations recommends that travelers evaluate the insurance options available for their needs and inquire with providers about “cancel for any reason” insurance.
Below are two insurance brokers that Elevate Destinations recommends.
- Trawick International
Trawick International provides fast and basic insurance coverage.

Guests may acquire medical insurance through Yonder, Trawick International, or any other insurance company of their choosing. If you purchase insurance with Yonder, please be sure to tell them you have booked your trip through Elevate Destinations. Elevate Destinations recommends that travelers evaluate the insurance options available for their needs and inquire with providers about insurance that will provide coverage if the trip needs to be cancelled.
PASSPORT:
For U.S. passport holders, a visa is not required for stays of 90 days or fewer for Morocco. Please make sure your passport is current and valid for at least 6 months beyond your trip departure date. Your passport should have at least 2 blank pages for the entry and exit stamps, or more if you are visiting several countries on this trip. Please note that the last two amendment pages are not acceptable for visas and immigration stamps.
For U.K. passport holders, a visa is not required for stays of 90 days or fewer for Morocco. The embassy of Morocco in the UK advise that your passport should be valid for at least 6 months on your date of entry to Morocco. British nationals don’t need a visa to enter Morocco for the purpose of tourism for up to 3 months. When entering the country, make sure your passport is stamped. Some travelers have experienced difficulties leaving the country because their passport has no entry stamp.
Please upload a scanned copy of the first page (photo page) of your passport to this secure Dropbox Folder.
If your passport expires before then, you will need to renew your passport. We recommend using A1 Passport & Visa Services. To do so, please email them at info@a1passportvisa.com and let them know you are working with Elevate Destinations on your travel arrangements.
VISA:
Citizens from the U.S. and U.K. do not need a visa to visit Morocco.
