Snorkel with whale sharks and meet the research team working to conserve their populations or head to Magdalena Bay where calving gray whales nurture their young (Jan-April) and dolphins can be seen playing in calm waters. No trip to Baja is complete without a visit to Espiritu Santo Island. Hike or kayak the island and swim with the curious, resident sea lions. To gain some elevation, head into the rugged mountains for a day trip to a pristine waterfall oasis or for a longer stay, glamp in a fully-outfitted tented camp, which helps to support remote, local communities. Here you will experience the traditional ranchero life and another perspective of Baja Sur.
