TRAVEL & MEDICAL INSURANCE:
Elevate Destinations strongly recommends that all travelers have travel insurance for any trip they wish to take with us. Please note that some insurance options require purchase within 24 hours of making payment for your trip. We encourage you to review your travel insurance options before making payment to Elevate Destinations.

Guests may acquire travel insurance through the Travel Insurance Center, or any other travel insurance company of their choosing. Elevate Destinations recommends that travelers evaluate the insurance options available for their needs, and inquire with providers about insurance that will provide coverage if the trip needs to be cancelled.
Medical insurance is required by the Cuban government for entry, and you may be asked to show proof at Immigrations. Not all US medical insurance policies will be valid in Cuba, so we advise that you check with your provider. Several US airlines also automatically include medical insurance in the cost of your ticket, so be sure to check at the time of purchase.
FLIGHTS FROM THE US:
International flights are booked by travelers independently. Several major US airlines are now offering direct flights to Havana (American Airlines, Delta, Jet Blue, United, and more). We recommend booking as soon as you can as the daily flight options to Havana are limited and expected to fill up quickly.

Here are our recommended Arrival and Departure times:
- Arrive in Havana at José Martí International Airport (HAV) before 4:00pm on October 21st, 2017
- Leave from Havana at José Martí International Airport (HAV) anytime on October 28th, 2017
PASSPORT:
Travelers should ensure that the validity of their passports extends at least six months beyond the end of their intended stay, and should have at least two blank (unstamped) visa page in their passport to enter the country. The last two amendment pages cannot be used for immigration stamps. *Note that you will need to renew your passport if you are out of Visa pages, as the State Department no longer provides additional pages. If you need to renew your passport, please do so as soon as possible. US passport holders can find information about applying for or renewing passports at travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.
VISA/TOURIST CARD:
U.S. citizens will need a visa to enter Cuba. Your visa fee is included in the cost of this trip and Elevate Destinations will assist you with next steps to submit an application.
HEALTH CONCERNS
Please consult with a travel clinic or your personal physician regarding the recommended immunizations for travel to Cuba. You will need to do this well in advance of your trip as some vaccinations require time to take effect, and you may need to allow time between a series of shots.
Be sure to check the CDC website for Cuba for the most up to date recommendations. In addition to being up-to-date on routine vaccinations 4-6 weeks before travel, the CDC recommends that most travelers be vaccinated for Hepatitis A and Typhoid. The CDC also recommends some travelers to be vaccinated for Hepatitis B and Rabies. Note that local transmission of Zika virus has been reported in Cuba.
