STATEMENT ON THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
Elevate Destinations believes that international travel plays a vital role in rebuilding lives and livelihoods that have been negatively impacted by the coronavirus global pandemic. We are committed to continuing to open the world up to our travelers in new and profound ways, while keeping our mission for meaningful and ethical travel at the heart of all our trips and operations. We prioritize partnering with local ground partners, supporting local economies, protecting the environment, and elevating the work of numerous NGOs and legendary changemakers around the world. We believe these values are more important than ever now, and we are committed to continuing to serve all of our stakeholders with reasonable, well-informed decisions.
Elevate is closely following COVID entry requirements and protocols for every destination. To the best of our ability, we will share these updates with travelers so that each is fully prepared to meet these requirements during their travel with us.
We require all travelers (including children ages 5 and older) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least two weeks prior to their departure. We also ask that any traveler eligible for a booster receive this additional dose before travel. The health and safety of our travelers, as well as our global partners, friends, and colleagues, remains our highest priority. We believe that requiring vaccination before travel is the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and will ensure the safest possible journey for you, and for our in-country partners. We are proud to embrace this requirement, and believe it is our ethical duty to do so as leaders in responsible travel.
Elevate Destinations now requires that all of our travelers purchase travel insurance which covers COVID-related costs. For new bookings, we require that travelers add “Cancel For Any Reason” (CFAR) coverage, which offers more comprehensive coverage against possible COVID-19 related impacts to your trip. For more information, please see our updated COVID-19 policies and protocols.
