INSURANCE
Elevate Destinations will purchase emergency evacuation coverage for you. This policy covers emergency evacuations due to medical, political, or natural disasters from June 21 – 28, 2025 (if you choose to join the Extension to Rwanda, then you will have the same coverage in Rwanda from June 28 – July 2, 2025). This policy also provides $5,000 of emergency medical coverage. More details about this coverage are noted in this brochure.
This coverage does not include trip cancelation or interruption benefits and also does not cover pre- or post-trip days of travel booked outside of Elevate Destinations. We strongly suggest you purchase additional coverage to cover your non-refundable expenses in the event you need to cancel your trip or have additional expenses incurred on the trip.
Medical Insurance for Scuba Diving: Anyone participating in the scuba diving activities will be required to secure medical insurance that will cover you for extreme sports such as scuba diving, which is not covered through standard medical insurance. This is a requirement of the the diving vendors. You will be required to show proof of insurance before you travel and when in Mozambique.
Elevate strongly recommends purchasing additional travel and medical insurance and Cancel for Any Reason Coverage (CFAR) to cover trip related expenses. Please note that some CFAR insurance options are time-sensitive. Please be ready to purchase an insurance policy within 14 days of making your first trip payment.
To purchase additional travel insurance in the country of travel, below are two insurance brokers that Elevate Destinations recommends.

PASSPORT
1. Check that your passport:
- Is current and valid for at least 6 months beyond your trip departure date. Thus, valid until December 28, 2025.
- Has at least 2 blank pages for the entry and exit stamps, or more if you are visiting several countries on this trip. The last two amendment pages are unacceptable for visas and immigration stamps.
2. Upload your passport: Please upload a scanned copy of your passport to this secure Dropbox folder.
3. Passport renewal: If your passport expires before then, you will need to renew your passport. We recommend using A1 Passport & Visa Services. To do so, please email them at info@a1passportvisa.com and let them know you are working with Elevate Destinations on your travel arrangements.
Note that U.S. passport holders are not required to obtain a visa to enter Mozambique for 30 days or less.
