DAY 1: ARRIVe Nairobi, Kenya
OLOLO SAFARI LODGE
Upon arrival in Nairobi, meet our representative who will escort you to your new home for the next two nights, Ololo Safari Lodge.
Only a short 45-minute drive from Nairobi Airport, Ololo Lodge balances convenience with comfort. This home-style lodge is family owned and operated, offering a personalized experience full of authenticity. The traditional farmhouse décor is reminiscent of “Out of Africa,” with a fresh and contemporary feel.
Situated on the fringes of Nairobi National Park in a quiet, leafy suburb, this is the perfect place to unwind after a long-haul flight. Enjoy a glass of carefully selected wine on the ivy-covered terrace, or read a book under a shady acacia tree. Take advantage of a private vehicle and guide to explore Nairobi and other points of interest.
Stay in the refurbished stone-walled stables of the old Ololo Farm – a tribute to the property’s long-standing history. The stables are warm and welcoming with views overlooking the lodge’s colorful flower gardens.

DAY 2: GIRAFFE AND ELEPHANT CONSERVATION and Community work
OLOLO SAFARI LODGE
This morning, your local guide will pick you up and escort you to the Giraffe Center, an education-focused organization where you can get up close and personal with these amazing animals!
Afterwards, visit the Daphne Sheldrick Orphanage. Born from one family’s passion for Kenya and its wilderness, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world today, as well as being a pioneer in the conservation and protection of wildlife and habitats in East Africa.
This afternoon, visit community projects with One Horizon, volunteering at a children’s center and seeing how Maasai grandmothers do pig and chicken farming.

Day 3 Nairobi-Laikipia
El Karama Lodge
This morning you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for a quick flight to Nanyuki, in the breathtaking region of Laikipia, home to the the second greatest amount of wildlife in Kenya!
You will be driven to El Karama Lodge, about 90 minutes from the airport. El Karama Eco Lodge is an award-winning, intimate, and family-friendly wildlife lodge located in the heart of Laikipia. Guests have access to 14,000 acres of private land that plays host to a spectacular variety of birds, mammals, and plants. The lodge prides itself not only on its extraordinary flora and fauna but also on their warmth, hospitality, and exceptional value.
With direct views of Mount Kenya rising up over the plains and the sight of Grevy’s zebra, Laikipia hartebeeste, and running warthogs coming to the nearby water’s edge, Laikipia is the perfect place to disconnect from regular life and fill your family with new experiences.

Days 4-6: Safari in a private conservancy in Laikipia

Enjoy the array of activities on tap at El Karama: embark on game drives to track big game on the open plains; visit cattle and sheep on their working farm, fish from the river, learn beading from local women, paint and sculpt with termite clay and much more.
This is a perfect place for your family to discover and play. An ample swimming pool is a popular spot during the warm part of the day.
Days 7-10 Walking Safari
Tumaren Tented Camp
Now that you have acclimated to the African bush, it’s time for walkabout! A few hours down the Ewaso Nyiro River you will find Tumaren Camp, the stunning home base for your walking safari!
This is a unique experience full of cultural insights, color and sounds. For the next four days, Samburu guides and trained trackers will take you and your children into the bush on camels and share their unparalleled knowledge on the flora, fauna, tracks and signs of wildlife.
Meals are under the stars with the sounds of the bush surrounding you and nights are spent in comfortable tents with great bedding and hot showers.
DAY 11-14: SAFARI IN MARA NORTH CONSERVANCY
SARUNI WILD
Located in the heart of the Maasai Mara plains between the Lemek and Mara North Conservancies, Saruni Wild is truly a secluded destination immersed in the bush.
The camp’s classic tents are elegant and comfortable, but the real magic happens just outside. This unfettered wilderness is home to a wide variety of plains game that will share your space during your time at Saruni Wild. Here, you are not just a visitor.
You are a part of nature. Maasai guides will share their knowledge about every species with the whole family, and make your stay warm and special.
Enjoy picnics set in the open wilderness, bird watching, star gazing, scenic sundowner cocktails, and night drives to discover nocturnal creatures.
