The END Fund Team Retreat Agenda

Day 1: Sunday, June 9
Nairobi – International Arrivals

Karibuni Kenya (Welcome)! Arrive to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) at anytime today. You will be met at the airport and then transferred to your hotel where you can rest and enjoy the hotel’s amenities. Check in at the hotel starts at 2:00pm.

Come together with those who have arrived for a group dinner tonight.

Overnight: Ole Sereni Hotel (Nairobi)

Day 2: Monday, June 10
Travel to Diani Beach

Eat breakfast at the hotel and check out of your room. You will be split up into two groups and depart the hotel with your group for Wilson airport for your domestic flight to Diani. The two flight times are:

  • Fly ALS: Departing Wilson at 14:30 and arriving in Ukunda at 15:40
  • Safarilink: Departing Wilson at 15:45 and arriving in Ukunda at 17:00

Upon your arrival, transfer to the hotel and check in. There will be an optional sightseeing activity in the afternoon for those wanting to explore Diani. In the evening, there will be a welcome reception & dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Tuesday, June 11 

This morning after breakfast, there will be an all-staff meeting and activity led by Ellen. There will be time for discussion, and then conclude to have lunch.

In the afternoon, there will be an array of activities offered in which you can choose to participate. Have some time this evening for a break before dinner outside the hotel.

Day 4: Wednesday, June 12 

Enjoy the buffet breakfast served at the hotel. Today will be another combination of team meetings, programming, cultural activities, connecting and learning.

Have some rest time this evening & then enjoy a group dinner.

Day 5: Thursday, June 13

Today is the final day of your team retreat. After breakfast, regroup for this morning’s team meetings & programming. Afterwards, eat one final lunch all together.

There will be private airport transfers arranged for anyone who is departing today.

An optional sightseeing activity and dinner will be arranged for those who would like to join.

Day 6: Friday, June 14
Travel to Nairobi & International departures

Have breakfast as a group & then check out of your rooms. Again, you will be split up into two groups and transfered to the airport for your domestic flight to Nairobi. The two flight times are below:

  • Fly ALS: Departing Ukunda at 10:00 and arriving in Wilson at 11:40
  • Safarilink: Departing Ukunda at 11:25 and arriving in Wilson at 12:35

Upon your arrival to Wilson airport, you will either be transferred directly to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) for your connecting flight home or to the Ole Sereni Hotel in which a day room as been reserved for you to freshen up before your flight home. If you go to Ole Sereni, you will have an airport transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) provided.

Please keep in mind that any travel beyond June 9-14 is at the individual’s own expense. The END Fund will not be covering any travel outside of the team retreat.
