Along with the rest of the world, the Elevate team is working from home and pressing pause on our travels. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t continue to daydream about wild destinations, learn from different cultures, or continue to support the incredible non-profit organizations in our favorite countries!
We understand it can be a little challenging to entertain the kids 24/7, so we’re here to help you inspire them with free, fun, and educational content each “Wildlife Wednesday” to help fuel those imaginations!
With a different destination each week, the kids will soon feel as if they’ve jet-setted around the world!
Week Three – Japan
In week three, we’re visiting Japan, a contrasting land of traditional and ultramodern. Cherry blossom-lined streets, bustling cities, and mouth-watering cuisine are just the start of your Japanese experience!
Don’t forget to email us any creations your kids make or post them directly on our Facebook page to have their work featured!

We’re here to bring you easy-to-make recipes from around the world! Hopefully there’s a recipe below you can make with your kids using ingredients you already have in your kitchen. Travel teaches us that improvising is part of the experience! These recipes are forgiving, and you can easily use substitutes where needed.
Easy Japanese Tempura Batter – Tempura is a fast, easy, and fun way to get your kids to eat their vegetables! Try it with sweet potato, mushrooms, onions, eggplant, and broccoli!
Miso Marinated Black Cod – if you can’t find black cod, you can substitute salmon or a different fatty white fish.
