Day 1
ARRIVE OAXACA
Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up at Oaxaca City Airport. Transfer to Casa Oaxaca Boutique Hotel. After check-in, leave the hotel for a city tour in Oaxaca, where we will to visit places like the Santo Domingo ex-convent (built in 1608), Calle Alcalá (famous corridor with galleries, restaurants, and local stores), downtown Oaxaca, Oaxaca’s cathedral, the famous Oaxaca market, and anything else along the way.
Dinner will be at leisure to choose one of the great local restaurants in town.

Day 2
MONTE ALBAN
Today, have breakfast at your hotel and transfer to the Zapotec ruins of Monte Albán, one of Mesoamerica’s finest ancient sites. Monte Albán is a hilltop town just a few miles west of Oaxaca and commands panoramic views of the mountains rising above the checkerboard fields of the Oaxaca Valley.
After this, visit the Casa de las Artesanías in Arrazola, Oaxaca. Here you’ll look at the creations from locals and the famous and colorful alebrijes (surrealist carvings). Also check out the La Capilla de Zaachila and have lunch at leisure at a local restaurant, which offers delicious regional food.
To finish your day, transfer to Coyotepec and admire the process of creating crafts made from black clay – one of Oaxaca’s best-known crafts.
Afterward, return to your hotel to rest and have dinner at leisure.

Day 3
CULINARY WONDERS OF OAXACA
After breakfast, head out for a day of cooking in Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca.
Begin the day with a walking tour at the Teotitlan Market to purchase fresh, local ingredients with your guide.
Once you have everything needed, you will learn firsthand how to prepare some popular appetizers, main dishes and desserts. Enjoy a relaxing sit-down meal with a delicious mezcal.
Transfer back to Oaxaca City and visit the Árbol del Tule, an enormous 2,000 year old tree, famous for having the largest-diameter tree trunk in the world. After marveling at this gift from nature, transfer to the hotel to rest and have dinner at leisure.

Day 4
TOURING MEZCAL COUNTRY!
After breakfast you will begin an amazing tasting tour of excellent food and regional mezcal, a relative of tequila. During this tour, learn how about the traditional spirit native to Oaxaca and how it has been prepared for centuries. You will visit Mal de Amor, Espina Dorada and Don Fidencio.
After visiting three mezcal factories, try the famous Caldo de Piedra for lunch. This soup is a pre-Hispanic dish prepared in a small cup with shrimp, fish, onions, tomatoes and some other ingredients. After everything’s set up in the cup, red-hot stones are thrown into it, cooking the soup instantly and adding an amazing flavor.
Return to your hotel after lunch to relax and have dinner at leisure.

Day 5
OAXACA TO PUERTO ESCONDIDO
Today, depart very early for your transfer to the airport. You will be leaving Oaxaca City on a charter flight bound for Puerto Escondido. Once you arrive, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to the lovely location of Hotel Escondido. This beautiful boutique hotel will host you during your luxurious and fun stay along the coast of Oaxaca.
After checking into your room and relaxing a bit, enjoy lunch at leisure and a free afternoon at your hotel.
Dinner will be held at the hotel’s restaurant. After dinner, stargaze by a bonfire while enjoying some wine and settling in.

Day 6
OAXACA COAST
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, begin today’s adventure and transfer to Chacahua Lagoon. Chacahua is a natural park that includes gorgeous lagoons with wild mangroves, located just along the Pacific Ocean. Visit the crocodiles at the Chacahua Island and explore the wildlife in this amazing place!
Afterward head back to your Hotel Escondido to relax on the beach for the rest of the day. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Day 7
MANIALTEPEC’S BIOLUMINESCENT LAGOON
Today enjoy breakfast at your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing or head into visit the town of Puerto Escondido.
Have an early dinner tonight and be ready for an unusual but exciting adventure to visit Manialtepec’s Lagoon, departing at 10:00 pm. You will have the opportunity to take a romantic night swim in the lagoon with natural bioluminescence, which makes the water burst with sparkling light when there’s movement through it!
After marveling at this incredible spectacle, you’ll head back to your hotel to enjoy your last night in Puerto Escondido.

Enjoy a full day to relax at the beach in El Escondido.

DEPART FOR OAXACA CITY
Take your chartered flight from the beach back to Oaxaca City. Overnight at Siete Balcones and enjoy one last night in this gorgeous town – taking advantage of fine and adventurous dining.
