Day 1 Moorea
Your flight will arrive mid-evening and you will catch a short fight from Tahiti to Moorea where you will be met by your guide at the airport and taken to your hotel for the night.
The Hilton Resort and Spa has the best combination of location, price, and luxury on the island. It has a wonderful location along the north coast with easy access to a great lagoon for snorkeling.
Day 2 Moorea
Today you will begin your tropical adventure with an introduction to snorkeling and the coral reef. Your guide will take you to a beautiful beach and make sure everyone is comfortable with mask and snorkel and then take you out into the coral wonderland. In the afternoon you will visit the UC Berkeley Gump Research Station to talk about their programs in research and education. Here you will also have an slide show introduction to the natural world of these islands. This evening, dinner will be hosted by representative from the cultural NGO Te Pu Atitia.
Day 3 Moorea
This morning we will head up into Opunohu Valley to investigate the remains of an ancient village and look for endemic birds. We will take in the spectacular view at the Belvedere and talk about the geology of the island before descending into the forest to look at archaeological sites. At the end of the morning we will visit the Kellum Gardens, meet Mari Mari Kellum, and while enjoying a picnic lunch we will hear her stories of growing up on Moorea. The afternoon will be free for shopping, exploring, or just relaxing on the beach.
Day 4 Moorea
Today will be spent exploring the lagoon, the coral reef, and reef islands of Moorea. In the morning while the wind is still calm we will set out to look for spinner dolphins and humpback whales that are often found in the lagoon and near-shore waters (whales are here late-July to early November). After this we will stop to snorkel in the lagoon in a spot where it is easy to observe fish, rays, and reef sharks. By mid-day we will find our way to a reef island (motu) where we will stop for a picnic. While here we will talk about how these beautiful little islands form and take some time to look at vegetation and birds as well as get some more snorkeling in.
Day 5 Rangiroa
You will be moving this morning, first to the Moorea airport for a short flight to Papeete, and then a bit longer one to Rangiroa. Once on Rangiroa you will be met by your local guides, loaded into a boat and taken across the massive lagoon to your own private island. The afternoon will be spent exploring your new settings and relaxing on your own piece of paradise.
Teta Private Island is privately owned and located 50 kilometers across the lagoon from the village of Tiputa on Rangiroa. It is situated on a small coral islet and surrounded by lagoon on one side and dramatic coral reef landscape on the other. The accommodations are luxurious and the private staff take care of all needs including cooking, touring, laundry, and serving complimentary drinks.
Days 6-8 Rangiroa
Three full days on your own beautiful little island in one of the most remote paces on the planet. Your personal staff will be on hand to organize activites. You can go kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, reef walking, birdwatching, or just sit on your deck and watch the lagoon shimmer, and the fish swim by.

Day 9 – Rangiroa
Intercontinental Hotel & Departure
This morning you will be taken back across the lagoon to Tiputa and then to the airport. In Tahiti you will have a day room at the hotel and you can relax there or shop in Papeete for the afternoon. After dinner you will be taken to the airport for your departure flight.
